My family was heading up to Forster for the Australia day weekend. My plan was to stay at home until my mum's friend convinced me to go. I used to go up to Forster all the time when I was younger and I found out that I hadn't been there since high school, almost 5 years! So I thought, why not? It's not like I had any plans anyway. Driving up to Forster takes about 4-5 hours from where I live. I had to wake up at 5am because I still had to finish packing as I decided to go really last minute, almost 11pm the night before to be exact!

Day 2
My favourite car.
On Australia day, we decided to head into town to see what was going on and there happened to be a sausage sizzle going on in the local park along with live music, wood chopping and a vintage car show. I'm not a huge car person, but when I saw these vintage cars I kind of understood why so many people are into them. We then later visited some beaches that were close by and ended Australia day with a nice family dinner that my cousin made.

Day 3
I found a bone...
Before we headed back home, we decided to visit yet another beach that was walking distance form the house we were staying at. The walk was about 20 minutes. As soon as we got there it started raining so we had to head back.

All in all, I am so glad I decided to go up there again after so many years :) It was such a different way of celebrating Australia day than what I'm used to.
