On Tuesday I headed down to Melbourne with my uni friends for the agideas Look Upstairs design conference on Wednesday.
This was my second time going to Melbourne and I was super excited as my last trip wasn't that wonderful due to many of us being sick at the time.
View from our hotel that we stayed at.
After we settled down at our hotel, we headed out for lunch at Ba'get Banh Mi. It's said to be one of the best places to go to for Vietnamese rolls a.k.a French Bread and Vietnamese ingredients and I agree, it was definitely amazing! I regret not trying the Vietnamese ice coffee because that was apparently amazing!
So devastated that it is out of focus. I got the vegan friendly option.
We then headed to Art Centre Melbourne to pick up our tickets for the Studio Access. As part of the agideas conference, you get to go to a studio of your own choosing. I originally wanted to see XYZ Studios but found out that they were all booked out, so I picked my second option which was Crayon. I was so glad when I found out that they were sister studios and as a bonus I was able to see both!
Their menu.
Before the studio access I went exploring with Mona and Maneeta for a place to have coffee so we would be awake during the studio visit. We stumbled upon this cute little place called Shebeen. What attracted me about it was their black and white illustrations on their walls. Looking through their menu I saw that they had Vietnamese ice coffee! And since I didn't get to have one before, I decided to order that and it was delicious!! My first and best Vietnamese ice coffee! They also have us complementary spiced popcorn.
Finally the day came to an end when I visited Crayon & XYZ Studios. I was a bit nervous about going alone to it and having had my phone run out of battery didn't help. XYZ Studios have an amazing work space!I immediately fell in love with the illustrations on the wall as I love that kind of style and hope to achieve that someday. Overall it was such a good experience and I'm glad I chose it.
